OUR NEW NAME MEANS More
More innovation. More outreach. More lives saved.
we're CHANGING THE WAY COMMUNITIES THINK ABOUT ANIMAL WELFARE
A fundamental shift is starting to happen. As a result of our innovative programs, a new model based on providing helpful information, connecting people to resources and reimagining how we address at-risk animals is emerging. New thinking is gaining momentum nationally. And it’s originating right here.
We provide every fourth year student at The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine a two week rotation in shelter medicine.
we're BRINGING NEW PERSPECTIVE TO THE CONVERSATION
It is our goal and our responsibility to share our story, and our thinking, with as many people as possible. That’s why we changed our name. To avoid confusion. And to make certain that when people are looking for the organization that’s leading the broader conversation about animal welfare, they know to look to us.
On average, we spay and neuter over 4,500 animals every year.
we continue to be a voice for those without one
It’s been that way throughout our 134-year history. And now, that voice is stronger than it has ever been. And that’s good news. Because it means more of everything. Collaboration. Education. Expertise. And, of course, more lives saved.
We operate the largest Cruelty Investigations Department in Ohio.
